​Free Methodists have a history of fighting against slavery, helping the poor and oppressed, and advocating for women in ministry. Free Methodists have a 
head-heart-hands approach to
living out a life of holiness:

1. All races to worship together.
2. Women to lead in ministry.
3. The poor to be treated with dignity.
4. The laity to help make decisions.
5. The Holy Spirit in worship.

Formation Church desires to continue this heritage as we bear the image of God in tangible ways to the greater community.
